The Kentucky State Fire Fire Marshal's Office administers additional programs that include the certification of fire alarm inspectors, annual consumer firework retailer registrations, and fire safe cigarette brand registrations.

Fire alarm inspector certification - Lisa Hulette
Consumer fireworks retailer registration is required annually for all businesses offering fireworks for sale. If you would like to register your business to sell fireworks, contact Cynthia Tackett.
*Note* - It is the responsibility of the registrant to comply with all local zoning requirements, ordinances, and the Kentucky Building Code.
Fire-safe cigarette brand certification - Cynthia Tackett
Mobile home/RV/Travel trailer Inspections -The State Fire Marshal no longer performs inspections of travel trailers, campers, RVs, or mobile homes. These inspections are performed by the Manufactured Housing section of State Building Code Enforcement. You can contact them to schedule an inspection by calling (502) 573-1795 or by emailing Layhoma Roberts.
Fire suppression system installer licensing is performed by the Division of Building Code Enforcement. For information about a license, please contact Karen Nickels.
